WORLD PREMIERE of du Bois' new nonet will be premiered by the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings on 18 October 2015. The new work was written for and in collaboration with University of Michigan trombonist David Jackson and in collaboration with prize-winning photojournalist and artist Michelle Andonian (who created the visual parallel to du Bois' music for the multimedia, multi-discipline piece of music and art). Manhattan's Mimesis Ensemble present a performance of Alexandra du Bois'  Night Songs (Nachtliederen): String Quartet No. 3  at Carnegie Hall: Kronos Quartet commissioned and performed the quartet throughout the U.S. and Europe (including its New York Premiere at Carnegie Hall in 2005; JACK Quartet also performed the quartet at Carnegie Hall in 2007). Mimesis brings the quartet back to the hall on 23 January 2013

WORLD PREMIERE of du Bois' fourth string quartet will be presented by Apollo Chamber Players in Houston, Texas on 3 April 2016. The quartet, Alexandra du Bois' fourth string quartet, was commissioned by the Apollo Chamber Players in 2015 and will, at its heart, explore folk songs from Croatia and the rest of the former Republic of Yugoslavia. Spokane Symphony Music Director Eckart Preu will conduct the Spokane Symphony in a performance of Alexandra du Bois' Fanfare for symphony orchestra. Commissioned and premiered conductor Randall Craig Fleischer and the Anchorage Symphony in 2008, Fanfare finds its inspiration from the inauguration of the first African-American to hold the office of President of the United States.
