In observation of International Day of Peace, join the Apollo Chamber Players for a program of music for string quartet by Syrian-American and American composers including Alexandra du Bois. Alexandra du Bois was moved by the on-going refugee crisis in Syria and by people displaced as a result of war and conflict to compose her latest string quartet, subtitled “Obala” or “Sea Coast,” a piece about peace and knowledge that music travels over the sea and resettles along with all refugees and immigrants.
