Vocalist Corrine Byrne, violist Ralph Ferris, and pianist Donald Berman, the Divergent Trio of The Longy School of Music’s Divergent Studio, have commissioned and will premiere Alexandra du Bois’ new trio, titled ‘spun to color, mineral made light (2027) after the poem The Glass Age by poet Anna Maria Hong, whose text du Bois is setting in the new work for voice, viola, and piano. Anna Maria Hong’s poem is available to read, here, and to purchase, here.
