Serenata of Santa Fe in New Mexico will perform The Speaking Tide for bass clarinet, cello, and piano which will be the New Mexico premiere of the work. Alexandra du Bois wrote the work in 2007 for a core of dancers choreographed by Spenser Theberge at The Juilliard School. The work has since been performed throughout the United States without the original choreography. Mimesis Ensemble in New York City is recording and will be releasing the first commercial recording of the work in 2020.
