DESCRIPTION:Kronos Quartet will give the world premiere of the string quartet they commissioned\, 'Behind Rainbows'\, du Bois' fifth string quartet. The work was commissioned as part of Kronos Quartet's education and legacy project\, Fifty for the Future. Alexandra du Bois' first (An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind) and third (Night Songs) string quartets were commissioned and premiered by Kronos Quartet. A recording of her first quartet is available on Kronos Quartet's website and on ScoreFollower.
