DESCRIPTION:Mimesis Ensemble to perform Alexandra du Bois' The Speaking Tide for bass clarinet\, cello and piano at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall. The Speaking Tide was written for the Dance Division at The Juilliard School in New York and was premiered at Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in 2007 with a core of eight dancers choreographed by Spenser Theberge. More information to be announced winter 2018. Mimesis Ensemble\, the New York City based ensemble dedicated to the mastery of music from the 20th and 21st centuries founded by Katie Reimer\, previously presented a performance of du Bois' third string quartet in 2013.\n\n
